MESA DAY: Become a volunteer!

I am ready to volunteer. Sign me up!

MESA Day 2008

Event is This Friday, May 9!

MESA Day is a celebration of students’ innovation, hard work, and interest in science, technology, engineering, and math. MESA Day provides a fun and exciting opportunity for over 250 diverse 6 th-12 th grade students to design and build projects, compete against their peers, and learn by doing. They also receive the chance to visit a college campus and interact with college students, professors, and industry professionals like you! Time and time again, our MESA Day evaluations show adult judges and activity leaders on MESA Day are the most influential reasons why they enjoy the event and feel like they can pursue a career in science, technology, engineering, or math. Helping us make sure that MESA Day goes off with out a hitch! We have a variety of options that meet your needs and skills. Volunteer duties listed below.

Volunteer Opportunities:

  • Set Up/Clean-up: Make our event beautiful and well organized.
  • Registration: Get teachers and students all squared away in our morning push to provide them with all the essential tools for the day.
  • General Support: Not particular to where you want to volunteer, important areas like getting students t-shirts to helping foot traffic need you! This is the soul of the event.
  • Event Support: Interact with students and judges to ensure students get everything they need to be successful in the event. Make sure students are following the rules, provide positive support to students, and assist judging their final product.
